Class Policies

Classwork and Homework
- Classwork and homework should be completed on time with the proper heading, including first and last name. No credit will be given for work without a first and last name on it. Late work will not be accepted. See below for an exception.
- Students are responsible for writing their assignments in their time trackers. Parents can check the time tracker daily to see if the student is recording assignments and completing them. Parents and students can confirm what is for homework by calling the Homework Hotline at 423-3773 for our classes or by looking at our class web site.
- If a student is absent (an excused absence) the day work is assigned, the student is responsible for finding out about any missing work the day he/she returns and turning it in at the beginning of the next class. Students can receive full credit if it is turned in the day after returning to school. Otherwise, the student will not receive credit for the work.
- If a student is absent (an excused absence) on a day that an assignment is due, it is the student’s responsibility to turn the assignment in at the start of class the day the student returns. Otherwise, the student will not receive credit for the work.
Grades
Grades can be viewed by students and parents online. Class participation grades will be added approximately every 4 weeks. Students should check their grades regularly to make sure the grades are accurate and that they are working at a level that reflects their abilities.
Late work
Each student will be allowed to turn in one assignment per quarter per subject that is late. The student will need to print and fill out the Late Work Form completely and accurately.
Extra credit work
Extra credit work is possible for students who use their work time in class well but still have not earned a grade they are satisfied with. Students who disrupt the learning of others &/or do not use work time in class appropriately are not eligible for extra credit work.
Students who have not completed the regular assignments are not eligible for extra credit work.
